Very little is known of this veteran. He does not appear on the 24th Ohio's roster nor on the national roster index. However, a military tombstone for this man is found in the Casstown Cemetery, Lostcreek Township, Miami County, Ohio. Therefore, he may have served under an alias during the Civil War. Could he be the unnamed fifer in the tintype album?
